WORLDSKILLS AUSTRALIA

The Worldskills Competition is a national skill based competition that operates on a two year cycle.  In Year 11 VET students can enter a World Skills School Competition in any of the following competitions: Automotive, Business Services, Brick & Block Laying, Construction, Commercial Cookery, Electrotechnology, Food and Beverage, Information Technology, Metal and Engineering, Primary Industries & Retail.

If successful at the School level, the student is then able to progress to the Regional, Zone and/or National Finals.

Australian Training Awards

The Australian Training Awards are the peak national awards that showcase best practice in vocational education and training (VET). The Australian Training Awards recognise and celebrate excellence and are an important mechanism for promoting the benefits of vocational education and training.

School Pathways to VET Award

The School Pathways to VET Award recognises eligible organisations including schools, registered training organisations (RTO), group training organisations, industry bodies and employers that have collaboratively delivered one (or more) excellent vocational education and training (VET) programs to secondary school students.

Diocesan Awards

The VET Student of the Year Award & the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander VET Student of the Year Award recognises Yr12 students who have demonstrated exceptional skill, commitment and achievement while undertaking a Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools program, TAFE VET (EVET) or a School-based Apprenticeship or Traineeship (SbAT) as part of their High School Certificate (HSC).
